A project making innovative use of existing archive images of Willy Mullens’ silent film Haarlem (1922). The original film shows the city in straightforward shots and camera movements. Due to deterioration these images changed in a dramatic way. In the adaption Karel Doing zooms in on these effects with the aid of digital techniques like optical flow and morphing. Michal Osowski collaborated on the project with sound that is directely linked to the image, he used the changes in density of the film to control complex filters and distortion effects.

This is a film poem about love. A Lebanese-American filmmaker photographs a woman in Paris: as a trapeze artist, a model, a lover, and a child. The film attempts to capture that moment between wakefulness and dream. It carries within it melancholy and loneliness, sadness and joy, adulthood and childhood. It evolves out of the metaphor that life is a circular journey whose end is "to arrive where we started / And know that place for the first time" (T. S. Eliot, Little Gidding).

Watching and moving are elementary human needs. Therefore non-verbal communication is to be seen in gesture, facial expression and moving. Dance with its means of expression is a ritualized and artistic language to mediate feelings. Eye-contact and the interest in motion are a kind of communication that is inherent in cinema. „The kinetics of feelings“ kaleidoscopically presents by means of a „found-foootage“ movie – beyond time and culture – motion and emotion which are the essence of cinema and life
