We went to Calais to make a film about teenage refugees trying to get into Britain. Then we met Abdul and suddenly everything changed. A film about the responsibilities of the first world, as well as documentary filmmakers.

Believe is the story of one man's grief following the death of his wife. The film captures a desperate journey, played out against beautifully isolated highland landscapes.

The Night Award is deticated to films that celebrate ambivalence and complexity, films that can't be reduced to simple concepts and ideas and evoke a certain enigma, which keeps the spectator in a state of perplecity ans stimulation of ongoing reflexion.

„Exodus“ is showing a weared off tradition in the present Kazakhstan, like a strange and powerful tale. Men and women are in the process of packing up their Yurtas (nomadic tents). An ancient shamanistic normad ritual „The Closing Road“ is persecuted, only perceived by a girl, who is icaptivated by what is ment to be left behind.
Exodus is on the same time evoking the global uprooting.

Alone in his kitchen in Bucharest, Dorel prepares for what seems to be a party. Actually, it’s his son’s wedding which takes place in the USA. Dorel is going to watch the wedding through a webcam toghether with two of his son’s friends. On the small display they are going to meet the bride, her father and will witness the ceremony. A bitter-sweet story about scattered families and lonely parents.
