Every day, 73-year-old Seppo shouts «Shut up» to the 102-year-old Linda. In a small red hut in Northern Finland, in the middle of nowhere near the Russian border, they find joy in the little things in life. Their community is marked by moments of humor, refuse and still continuing "education". This is a short about life in the remote villages of Kainuu, and about a way of life that is disappearing.

Helsinki-Tehran is a cinematic study on immigration and memory – on the shared verbal and nonverbal knowledge and emotional understanding which travels with displaced people from one generation to another. The film is an experimental documentary that uses various cinematic styles and techniques. Fragmented structure is able to reflect an immigrant’s experience of not belonging, when classical narration finds itself void. Helsinki-Tehran runs like a stream of dreams, memories, forgotten events and everyday moments.

The video work combines distressed and contented sounds of a baby with images of adult men and women acting out the sounds and the feelings that they carry. The work deals, in a humorous way, with our innate need to feel accepted, loved and happy.

The work investigates the memory – and memories; the elements brought by time; how the mind forgets and remembers; how time reduces. Is it possible to prevent transience through visualization?

A painterly, operatic work about escapism, sublime emotions, and desperate love. It`s soundtrack is the aria Ah! Non mi ridestar! from Jules Massenet`s opera Werther. The first scene looks like an empty, austere landscape. Then the camera moves to close-ups of a hairy creature that at first remains unidentified.

Rising in the Kunsthalle Studio is the first part of a series of works about the future, memory and energy production. It is a dream-like work with elements from the genres of horror and science fiction. It is a layered piece that presents the artist’s personal relationship to space and memory along with more general reflections upon the consequences of energy production. Rising oscillates between narrativity and an abstract, psychedelic idiom.

"Up and About Again" is moved by motion and laid back in the outback. A car covered in thick snow drives across the dreamlike summer landscapes. Something has turned the everyday upside down. Fear is hidden.

We present film series focused on different countries and regions. This section intends to discover and explore different spaces and cultures with the aim to understand the specific regional, political and social circumstances, do reconstruct the emotional and intellectual spécificities of a special region or country. In this critical work we belief it's essencial to prefer films which rufuse, in its form and expression, the retake of sterotype ways of reality restituition, as an act of resistance in the actual period of "globalisation", which inclins to impose one dominating model of culture and habitutes..
