Somewhere in the backwoods at the turn of a not precised century, a crack unit of female Japanese soldiers track a group of lost, ancient desperadoes. They dig holes, they read, their leader channels the ghost of Italian sound poets (as yet unborn..?), all the while moving onward...but who is searching for who and why? Hand-processed with a soundtrack cobbled together from dictaphone recordings, old 78s, hiss and scratches and whines.

While a traveling salesman reports to his company and the man’s doubts and complaints become more obvious, the camera follows the course of a lazy river on the edge of a large tropical city.

The spirit of an old woman returns to the place she can’t let go of: her farm. With everyday activities like winding up clocks and setting mousetraps, she tries to hang on to life. Dead plants, broken faucets and wisps of cobweb in the corners don’t seem to bother her. But then she comes across the mourning ribbons of her husband, who has apparently died.

The festival prefers film treating important subjects in an original way, films which don't avoid ambiguity and complexity, films, which are sometimes stay enigmatic, so that refection and mind are going on moving, exceptional films, which covers all kind of artistically expressions, films open for esthetical innovation, shortly films reflecting the perturbing strangeness of the modern world in a complex way.
