CON-CAN MOVIE FESTIVAL is a hybrid independent short film festival that originates in Tokyo. Our selection is based on the discussion of globalism, diverse perspective of contemporary society and the human condition. CON & CAN, are two Japanese kanji characters that means “soul” and “true appreciation”.Hybrid means our festival takes place both online and offline.Online for Audience Awards, and Offline for International Competition.A group of well renowned film professionals from all over the world participatein the jury process every year. In addition, we have screening events andan award ceremony just like any other film festival. |

In this film, the linking of such ideograms have been taken away to express the feeling of loneliness after an existing element disappears, as well as the feeling of freedom from the bonds of everyday life.
