Pawel Pawlikowski
Great Britain 1992 / Beta SP / 0:45:00
The Dostoyevsky’s grand-child, Dimitri, tramway driver in St-Petersburg, leaves in Germany, invited by the « Dostoyevsky’s friend society ». He doesn’t speak German and doesn’t really care about his grandfather. What interests him above all, is to find a cheap Mercedes. In a scrap yard, he meets a crook, who takes care of him though the language barrier. A picaresque trip, which opposes the German intellectual middle-class and the universe of a Russian worker.
