Laima Grazdanovica |

Laima Grazdanovica has graduated from theater and cinema art theory
studies in Latvian Academy of Culture, has worked for several years at
RadioNABA radio show about cinema "Older than 60 minutes", is a
programmer and curator at the Riga International Short Film Festival
2ANNAS, including being actively involved in international cinema,
photography and theater projects, with special focus on the
interdisciplinarity of documentary art. Recently Laima worked at NISI
MASA - European Network of Young Cinema as a project assistant for
European Short Pitch 2018.

RALF SAUSMIKAT, since 1979 preoccupation with Avantgarde-,
Experimentalfilm and Videoart. Studied media sciences and graduated 1986
as Magister Artium. 1981 founding of the Experimentalfilm Workshop e.V.,
several S-8 and 16mm films. Since 1988 artistic director for various
sections of EMAF, film, video, retrospectives and exhibition. Consulting
expert for the Goethe-Institute, Munich for "German Experimental film of
the 80' and 90's". 2001 Multimedia-Lectures "From Analog Dreams to Digital
Visions" at the HK Arts Center, Hong Kong. 2002 curator of "documenta 10 –
revisited" for the DOC and Video Festival, Kassel. 2003 curator of"Turbulent Screen" an exhibition and cinema project on structural
approaches in film and video, for the Edith-Russ-Site for Media Art,
Oldenburg. 2002 – 2006 Visiting Artist at the Institute of Art and Design,
Milwaukee, 2007 Jury-member at the International Festival of Electronic
Arts and Video Transitio_MX, Mexico City, 2013 selection-committee Impakt
Festival Utrecht.

Roshan Bikram Thakuri (also known as Roshan Hamal), presently living
in Kathmandu, has been contributing to Nepali film industry with my
complete engagement in direction and production of both commercial and
art films for more than a decade. He studied trends of world cinema
critically and analytically including domestic films development. His
venture film “Rang” (Color”) in 2013 established him as a successful
director in the industry. The film also received critical
appreciation.
His film “Silver Bangles” is a short film based on a true incident
occurred in western region of Nepal during Maoist insurgency about
social discrimination in regard to existing caste and gender has
received a “Special Mention” in EKADESHMA International Short Film
Festival 2017 held in Kathmandu, Nepal and was awarded with “Honorable
Mention” in “Best Actress”and “Best Cinematographer” in the
prestigious 8thQueens World Film Festival, New York 2018.
He is also working as freelance creative director for programs and
events and has choreographed some national programs. In addition to
his professional career, he has been engaged in social organization
work to ceate awareness, education and development. He is Board Member
of Ghansi Ideal Society Nepal (Ghansi Nepal), which makes direct
effort to bring change in rural parts of Nepal. |
