CINE TRANS EUROPE est le nom de la collaboration - unique en son genre - qui réunit cinq festivals opposant résistance au cinéma qui rebat sempiternellement les mêmes matrices d’émotions et de concepts, réticent, sinon incapable de rompre avec les interprétations dominantes et réductrices. Cette collaboration inaugurée au mois d’avril dernier lors de l’European Media Art Festival d’Osnabrück, se poursuit à Paris lors du prochain Festival Signes de Nuit, où seront présentés, en quatre sections, les courts-métrages de nos partenaires les festivals de Barcelone, d’Amsterdam, de Cork et d’Osnabrück.

"Where did I put my wings?" is an autobiographical experimental documentary, an intuitive work with a metaphorical language that deals with the issue of being a woman and mother, alone with his son. The video develops a narration in a poetic way, and recreates an emotional and inner atmosphere, which reaches an abstract and concrete set, designed to strengthen the personal and dream work. With moments of real life and other staging, the film tells a chapter of the life of the protagonist as a path to awareness of being. The pain, the anguish, anger and love punctuate the stages of the questioning, the awareness, the decision to change, forgive other and forgive myself, letting go, the start, rebirth. The episodes of the film finds its objective correlative in the natural elements (earth, air, water, fire) and shape the celebration of self-purification ritual.

Chiara is a 15-year old girl born with Down syndrome. She is very lively and cheerful and her positive energy spreads to all those around her. There are however spells in which Chiara withdraws from everybody and everything. This happens when she is reading a book or makes her flights of fancy, where she is in a world of her own. The documentary “Beyond The Door” is an attempt to show these two different realities: the more mundane side of her life, school, problems and the magical one where fantasy and adventures prevail.

Throught a simple gesture and the opening of the heart with the suppotrt of faith. Hafiz's tomb has become a place of pilgrimage for those who believe in the power of poetry.
