All noise contains coloured particles of different substance and meaning. Fragile and sensitive, the fragments glide into abstract lines, colours and composition, creating Flimmer.

The Metrics of Coincidence (Die Metrik des Zufalls) |

Human life might be regarded as a round dance of mer coincidence, or as the result of either natural, or spiritual determination. In the format of found footage, the film 'The Metrics of Coincidence' presents the essence of a possible design of a biography. By a kind of patchworked parcours through film history, series of frames have been removed from their original context and rearranged into a new one. Thus a 'biography' has been composed: one that is possible only by the means of film montage and the viewer's imagination.

An exploration of ‘feeling a little bit uncomfortable.’ I am interested in the concept of skin and race, and what they imply; in the ideas and theories sown into our flesh that change with the arc of time. In my film, I focus on African women’s self-image, through memories and interviews; using mixed media to describe our almost schizophrenic pursuit of globalised beauty.

The video 'The Course of Things' uses the language of films to manoeuvre and influence our interpretation of images and stories. To do so, the artists have recorded on a daily basis the visitors of the London Natural History Museum and turn them into actors. In other words, they have edited the resulting footage in such a matter that it triggers our collective memory about action and crime narrative.
The performance of everyday life is often predictable, but at time unexpected, surprising and shocking. This video doesn't stage everyday life but design its performance. The video questions the boundaries between fiction and reality.
