Dennis Feser works on the borderlines of performance, video, costume and sculpture. For his pieces, he develops physical extensions of the body that strangely oscillate between clothing, prosthesis and sculpture-like tumors and that explore patterns of identity and the idea of the natural in an ironic and neurotic way. Feser develops his work in long, serial repetitions in front of a camera and in his videos often concentrates happenings, which took place over a period of several days, into rhythmic montages. “Vertical Distractions” is based on the city of Frankfurt/M and its skyline.. Feser explores the architecture that he sees and its effect on the body. Urban landscape as an aspect of the human organism.

A sureal and frightening panorama of impression around a woman, who tries to escape from something, something, which shouldn't be there any more, but still is, something which is very similar to her, maybe too similar, something like a twin sisters dead body, which indicates her own death. Being a woman not necessary means being alive in some places.
