Ce film donne à voir cette croyance, illustrée par les actes d’un groupe de Kazakhs citadines qui se partagent une tête de mouton à manger. Le mal de tête engendré provoque des transformations… There is a belief in Central Asiat hat eating the internal organs of one’s totemic animal will increase a corresponding power within oneself. This belief is reflected in this movie, illustrated in the actions of a group of urbanite Kazakh girls who eat and feed one another the sheep’s head. The caused headache provokes transformations...

Réalisation / Filmmaking: Guli Silberstein Israel / Israël 2007 * DV * 0:05:00 Un flux rapide d’images extraites du film « Les Dix Commandements », des informations télévisées relatant la guerre au Liban de l’été 2006, et une danseuse du ventre, letout accompagné d'une musique hardcore techno synchronisée - le Moyen Orient baigné dans une rave party apocalyptique, dévoilant les contradictions et pathologies chez l'homme, dans son comportement et croyances.   A rapid stream of looped images sampled from the epic Hollywood film “The Ten Commandments”, TV news broadcasts depicting the summer 2006 war in Lebanon, and a lively belly dancer, all synced up to a hardcore techno track - an apocalyptic Middle East horror rave party unfolds, unveiling contradictions and pathologies in human behavior and beliefs.

Nous ne voyons ni la femme, ni l’homme. On ne voit que la caméra contem-plant Pékin d’un œil mélancolique. Chaque carte postale est une lon-gue prise de vue statique.   From a Beijing apartment, a woman is writing postcards to a man in London. We do not see the woman ort he man; we only see the camera contemplating Beijing with a melancholy eye. Each postcard is a long static shot.

 

 

Wolkengestalt (Forme des nuages / Form of clouds)

Dans la menace constante de la guerre globale la parole s’est comme retirée et les “ images-temps ”, envahissantes et inéluctables, se couvrent de sons dilatés et abrasifs.   Goethe’s meteorological observations from September 11, 1819 descend on the clouds of the present day from an ambivalent outside, an off-screen that is dissociated and plagued by doubt. Under the constant threat of global war, the word has withdrawn into itself and the images-temps become an opaque, ineluctable overcast, clouded by abrasive, endlessly echoing sounds.

Précise, elle indique la date, le 12 juillet 2006: c’est le début de la guerre. malgré le calme et la beauté ds mouvements, malgré l’image floue et ralentie, une menace plane. Ce film expérimental, tout en musique et en lenteur, laisse pressentir l’omniprésence de la violence. Night in the streets of Beyrouth. The camera shoots in real time a man on the pavement. It indicates the date with precision: July 12th 2006: it’s the beginning of the war. Despite the calm and beauty of movements, despite the blurry and slow picture, a menace is hanging. This experimental film, filled with music and tardiness, lets us feel the omnipresence of violence.

Le spectateur devient témoin des instants menant au crime, mais aussi de l’histoire de la fin de sa relation.   A young woman describes her ordeal at Wolf Lake.. In Voice off she delivered quietly all details of her being murdered. The audiemce is made witness to the moments leading to the crime, but also about the history of the relationsship.
