Like water on stone, mourning seeps in, softening, eroding, consuming
old enmities and guiding a woman along the transformative precipice of
grief. What is released, what remains and what will follow?

An homage to a new visual dialect that has become a symbol of the
virtual forms of communication and at the same time - due to its
fascination with the fundamentals of the moving image - a memento of
the birth of cinema. The continuous flow of disperse images works as a
glimpse into the unconscious of the visual consumer in the age of
social media, while the use of film creates a dialogue between the
digital and the analogue that crafts a new texture of the real.

I generally gravitate towards places that reveal the many layers of
time when deciding on a particular location to set up my camera and
tripod. This is when I like to imagine worlds that have passed, worlds
that are present, and worlds that are yet to be.
In 2009 Johan Rockström led the team which developed the "Planetary
Boundaries Framework," a set of 9 boundaries that they define as a
“safe operating space for humanity.” These scientists assert that once
certain thresholds or tipping points are passed there is a risk of
“irreversible and abrupt environmental change." In 1976 a number of
companies began selling genetically modified foods and pharmacueticals
for the first time.

A forensic exploration of our cultural obsession with images of the
dead woman on screen.
#Water /knowhowknow is a fictionalized documentary and a visual sound
poem about our relationship with the ocean,- investigations based on
the local situation from the Froan edging the Norwegian sea to the
inner Trondheim fjord. We are all local inhabitants and global
participants. The film with the sound composed by Maja Solveig
Kjelstrup Ratkje, takes us through the fisheries down to the bottom of
the ocean and its inhabitants, through historical flashes, boat
building traditions, human vulnerability and hybris, subsea
technologies and aquafarming watched by the mythical figurine "Guri
Kunna" of the Froan sea - whom represent the forces of the oceans and
the ancient knowledge of how to live with the sea. This is the first
chapter in the short film series Knowhowknow investigating human
relationship to its surroundings. The original title #Tjaetsie is
water in the south Sami language.

"The mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one-seventh of its bulk

An exhilarating journey into the collective unconscious where all the
images, sounds and music are entirely from found footage.

All noise contains coloured particles of different substance and
meaning. Fragile and impressionable, the fragments glide into abstract
lines, colours and composition, creating Flimmer.. Surreal deliberate
confusion about a difficult love approach.
