LISBOA PREMIERE

Jury Statement :
“Skogafoos” is distinguished with the main award for fiction film for the simplicity with which it treats a very serious human issue: the limitations of love.

Director Statement :
I am extremely honored to win this award. This film was made by a small group of passionate filmmakers who wanted to tell a story that is very much about love. In this case loving someone who is struggling with mental illness. We tried to give a voice to millions of people who are making sacrifices on a daily basis, just because they want to help. And by winning this award, we know their voices are being heard. I would like to thank the jury for this amazing honor and by helping us to raise awareness of the issues.
