Mónica is, in theory, anything. Therefore, her portraits come from the
juxtaposition of sounds and of images taken from the audiovisual
archive that is YouTube. Copyrights are stolen, the intentions of
those who are neglected are usurped and (im)possible truths are
tested. |

or why, but it hurts. Through that crack enters a calling, a howl, a
bitch. Eduardo, her boyfriend accompanies and provokes her. Lina does

In the region of Sidi Bouzid life goes on as nothing ever happened.
For three years the camera follows the daily lives of four young men
in the aftermath of the revolution (of which they were some of the
leaders) unveiling their most intimate thoughts, dreams,
disillusionment, and idiosyncrasies. Unemployed, unmarried, constantly
repressed by the state, considering quitting a country which denies
equal opportunities and confines them in a perennial marginalisation,
the men find their own way to deal with reality in theatre.
Performance merges with their daily lives and, as a consequence, with
the plot of the film itself. |
