Jack returns to his family apartment in Encarnacion, a small village in Paraguay, after the death of his grandmother. He wanders the streets of his childhood, marked by the passage of time, remembering her stories. In the company of his mother and aunt, Jack attempts to mourn, but cannot. He falls into a torpor, returns to an original world, where an omnipresent nature reanimates his grandmother's soul.
