All over Spain the remains of a building virus can be found.
Abandoned buildingsites, streets without houses and empty appartment
blocks that were never sold.
Meanwhile on a global scale the honey bee is disappearing.
Could there be a connection between the disappearance of our most
important pollinator and this symbol of an infertile economic system?

Zero distance is the name of a process aimed at reducing the distances
between all of the elements in this world to zero, in the hope of
definitively coinciding with the other. It transforms a great distance
into a smaller distance that nevertheless feels greater. In the
remaining small distance, man is reduced to data. The problem is
disguised as a solution. While our senses slowly lose depth, our body
disappears unnoticed. Shapeless. Zero distance is the opposite of
love.

A trilogy composed of images from a tropical forest, water and a
building. Made of three short parts, three distinct periphrasis, each
characterised by a particular aesthetic and technical approach. The
idea of periphrasis is articulated trough the relation between moving
images and music.
* Trois pièces imagées en élément/périphrase autour de la forêt, de la
mer et d'un édifice. 1 Balade en stop-motion à travers la forêt
tropicale, sur les chemins balisés, en recherche illusoire de
communion avec une nature maitrisée. Au pied du volcan Arenal, dans
une vaste réserve costaricienne, le tourisme “ écologique ” de masse
est au rendez-vous. Le regard de la caméra essaye de s'en échapper,
mais pour autant le sentiment de simulacre persiste. 2 Immersion dans
la mer Méditerranée, élément qui nous rapproche et qui nous divise,
élément créateur et élément de mort. Au moment de l’insouciance
estivale sur les rivages, dans la même eau, juste un peu plus loin,
des drames se reproduisaient, comme ils se produisent encore et encore
depuis des décennies. Entre l'empathie, l’indifférence et
l'impuissance, est survenu le désir d'un geste expiatoire, qui peut
avoir des apparences égotiques face à l’énormité des souffrances. Un
assemblage d'images positives et négatives qui ne visent pas la
création d'une dialectique, d'un discours figé, ni d'une dichotomie,
d'une séparation, mais des connections, des liens, des possibilités.
3 Déconstruction d'une architecture-symbole imprégnée d'idéologie
fasciste, dans un regard entre fascination et répulsion. Tourné en 8mm
et en suite gonflé en 16mm l'image prend des contrastes accrus et un
grain presque pictural. La deuxième partie est réalisée en stop-motion
à partir de diapositives prises sur le lieu pour permettre plus de
liberté dans la déconstruction de l'image.

PORN NIGHT is a found footage film from the same series of Super 8 as
"CUTS" (2016). Here the objective was to exploit the aesthetic part of
the film X of the 60s by isolating the bodies by the reframingand
moving them away from their original context by the sound. The
deformations exerted on the capture make it possible to melt the films
one on the other to feign a continuity.

The section "Cinéma in Transgression" offers middle or feature lengh films out of norm and order, between fiction and documentary, characterised by complex audio-visual languages, unpredictable associations based on unconcient, metaphorical and metonymical proceedings. In this way these films can express the complexity of reality.
