In 2024 a private organisation plans to send humans to Mars. Paul Leeming and Pauls Irbins are shortlisted candidates for the first human settlement on Mars. Theirs is a one-way trip. They will leave behind everything they have known. “We have made our peace with the fact that we are not coming back. We are real, true pioneers. The first ever people on another planet. We are now interplanetary”.

Hagar comes to visit her father in his nursing home in Jerusalem. Before entering his room she looks at him and chooses to escape but a series of mishaps forces her to spend the day in the building. Searching her way through the maze of hallways, she enters the caretakers’ world. The short visit turns into a journey between the narrow corridors of society.

The festival prefers film treating important subjects in an original way, films which don't avoid ambiguity and complexity, films, which are sometimes stay enigmatic, so that refection and mind are going on moving, exceptional films, which covers all kind of artistically expressions, films open for esthetical innovation, shortly films reflecting the perturbing strangeness of the modern world in a complex way.
